Artist's Comments

Incense, and solitude.

Cannot clear my mind.

Of Many thousand thoughts;
Like creases in the robe.
‘Rights’ and ‘wrongs’;
And many thousand ways to judge.

…What should be simple.

Om Mani Padme Hum.

-----------------------------------------------------
Took a break from comic drawing to do a painting. I'm not a great painter, but I can approximate fairly well if I need to.
The original is actually quite big.
Sorry for the crappy photo quality.
Acrylics on plaster board, 22x18 inches.
If you look closely at the middle wall panel on the left of the figures, near the bottom, you can see a little face which developed accidentally while I was painting. Weird eh?

This is an awesome painting! I really love all the lil details in here... nice. It directly reminds me on Franz Kafkas "Vor dem Gesetzt"( dunno if you know that one).

The black and white Contrast is just awesome.
:iconthe-odd-gentleman:
well, it is a very well made piece.

That is the one where the man is stuck at the gates to 'Law', yes? That's very interesting! Thanks very much Dal :)

whilst quite oddly set out, i like the black space behind the white figure - and how it relates to the black figure on the right hand side. it is a most unusual image.

Hmm, 'wayward'...
Can't really describe this, maybe 'silent'? :P
:iconredbishopinlove:
hmmm, no, I think 'Wayward' makes the colour contrast more interesting to think about. But thanks.

I have had a face form quite accidentally in one of my drawings. The question is do you feel it was subconscious or a natural outcome of making art
